Our Mission

Touching People.  Restoring Relationships.

Equipping Believers.  Releasing Disciples.

Our mission at New Beginnings Christian Center is to touch and impact people with the love of Jesus, regardless of their age, race, or background; to help restore their relationships with God and with others; to equip them for the fulfillment of God's purpose in their lives; and to release them to do the work of the ministry to which the Spirit has led them and our Savior has called.

Touching People

Every day across our great nation and throughout the world millions of people are living without hope.  Emotional, physical and spiritual needs are going unmet all around us.  There is an answer though in the life of Jesus.  There are no boundaries in Christ, and no barriers to His love.  Regardless of who you are, or where you come from, there is hope and life in the love of Jesus Christ.  At New Beginnings we believe that it is our spirit-led responsibility to reach out and touch the whole world with this new life that we have in Him.

"This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.  This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."

I John 4:9-10

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations..."

Matthew 28:19a

Restoring Relationships

We live in a fallen world filled with broken people.  Every one of us has been hurt at one time or another by the people around us or the circumstances we find ourselves in.  In Christ there is healing and restoration for every wounded heart and every broken relationship.  At New Beginnings we are called of God to be bridge-builders, leading people to the cross of Christ to find healing in every area of their lives.

"All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them.  And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.  We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us."

2 Cor 5:18-20

Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar.  First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.

Matt 5:23-24

Equipping Believers

Every member of the Body of Christ has been gifted and appointed to serve the Kingdom.  Every single person!  There is no one in the Church who has not been gifted and called by God to do the work of the ministry.  We believe that it is our responsibility at NBCC to equip all the saints to fulfill the unique destiny which their Savior has called them to through training, education and hands-on mentoring in the same way Jesus modeled it for us in the Gospels.

"Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.  We have different gifts, according to the grace given us."

Romans 12:4-6

"It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service so that the Body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."

Ephesians 4:11-13

Releasing Disciples

At New Beginnings we believe that it is our purpose to send believers fully equipped into the world around us to proclaim freedom for the captives and to bring healing and love to those in need.  How will they know though, if someone does not tell them?  How will they experience the reality of hope if someone does not reach out a hand in aid?  How will they see love if someone does not show them?  It is not enough for the Church to simply teach, encourage and equip the saints.  We must also release them into the mission fields that surround our daily lives so that they can fulfill their unique destinies of service.

The answers to human suffering, social injustice, and every other ill that afflicts a world in bondage to sin are all to be found in Christ.  Apart from Christ we are all sick with sin and our prognosis is fatal.  Starting with our own community and city, and reaching out to our entire nation and beyond: we believe we are called to infect the whole world with a cure!

"How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!'"

Romans 10:14-15

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Acts 1:8
